Love the color palate! And I have always loved halftones perhaps a bit too much. :)

This ID is ausible! It makes every ID I've made look like like crap! I love how you get all that that zip-a-tone effect! Is that Photoshop or Illustrator?! I feel great in my inferiority!!

Ah, You're on here are you!

It's photoshop, and I get the duotone effect by copying a color into another document and converting it to bitmapped halftones, then I copy and paste it back into the document.

I wish I knew what ausible meant...now I have to go look that up!

:iconattn2dtale:
"Ausible" is a cartoonist society term, typically meaning something like "too amazingly awesome to be described with just one stinking word." I think Jeff and Andrew Hart coined the term when visiting the Ausible Chasm in New York (it's googleable). Apparently, during a torrential rainstorm, they saw the sign, took the exit, raced to the chasm, and ran out onto some kind of suspension bridge. The waterfall was, apparently, something to behold. Hence, something being "ausible."

And, MAN! that's a lot of work to get the halftone effect. And here I thought it was just a filter in Photoshop or something. How do you get everything lined up again?!

And, yes: I'm everywhere. And getting nowhere fast.

Ah, so...those crazy kids.

Er, it is, but I love the effect, and I'm pretty quick with it now. And, usually, I just eyeball it (it's worked every time so far).

Aw, quit it. Your Tanslucent comic was awesome, have you tried to push it with any indie houses?

Ah, you're sweet. Thanks. I like Translucent, but I'm trying to find something easier to draw. That way, I can do more, faster, to appeal to my more mercurial nature. When I eventually slow down and become more saturnine, I'll attack the more complicated demands of something like Translucent again.

Anyway, inspired by you (seriously), I've toyed with halftones and such in some black & white stuff recently, especially in view of the upcoming PCS anthology that Patch had talked about. (BTW, any news on that? Down here in Georgia, I'm outta the loop.) I'm trying to find a way of speeding up grayscaling via computer. Now that I've worked out some technique, I just need a story and art to apply it to!! Yaaaargh!!

Anyway, GREAT id.
